Our full spectrum blend combines purple, green, gold, and naturally occurring red sea moss, handcrafted with spring water and organic lime, nothing else. Why full spectrum matters? Each color reflects different naturally occurring pigments. Purple contains anthocyanin pigments with antioxidant activity. Green contains chlorophyll, the natural plant pigment that captures sunlight. Gold is naturally sun dried and prized for its smooth texture. By combining these varieties, you get a more diverse blend of naturally occurring plant compounds.

For best consistency:
Thaw frozen gels at room temperature before placing in fridge. Freezing gels extends the shelf life for up to 6 months.

*Several factors can influence its texture, including the type of sea moss used, the preparation method, the amount of water added during blending, and storage conditions. Some batches might be thicker, while others could be more gel-like or runny either way they are all safe to consume.* 

We follow strict commercial cold packing protocols, utilizing high-grade leak-proof gel packs and thermal packaging to keep your sea moss gel at the proper temperature for up to 48 hours during transit. Although the gel may arrive warm and more fluid in consistency, the packaging ensures it does not surpass a safe temperature. To further safeguard against spoilage within a 48-hour period, we incorporate key limes, which naturally contain citric acid. Please refrigerate the gel immediately upon arrival, and it will return to its original thickness.

Spoilage Risk Factors

Using the same spoon for each scoop: When taking your 2 tablespoons, use a fresh spoon for each scoop to avoid bacteria and gel spoilage.

Improper Storage: Storing sea moss gel at room temperature for an extended period of time or in warm conditions can accelerate bacterial growth and spoilage. It's crucial to store the gel in the refrigerator or freezer according to the recommended guidelines. Please note that unless your sea moss gel remains in the freezer, it will expire within 3-4 weeks.

When defrosting:

  • If you want to defrost your gels after being frozen, place the gel on the counter for a few hours. The amount of time to defrost will depend on the temperature in your house. This will help maintain the gel consistency. If it is defrosted in the refrigerator, the gel will be more icy or clumpy and less like a gel.
